Statute.
A considered reading experience for legal information.
Statute is Forthline’s in-house legal-information mobile product, available on iOS and Android. Built with React Native, it brings search, structured navigation, saved content and notes to long-form legal material.
The problem
Legal material is long and structured. A mobile reader needs a way to find an article, understand where it belongs and return to useful passages without starting over.
Design and development
Statute was designed and built as a React Native product, bringing product design and mobile implementation together. The work includes navigation, search, saved content, notes and an offline-oriented reader.
Implementation decisions
A home shelf and Continue Reading entry point support returning to material. The contents screen groups articles by part and chapter. The article view keeps the document hierarchy and previous/next navigation close to the text, with reading tools available without leaving the passage.
Delivered functionality
Search, a legal-content library, saved material, notes and article reading with local access to content. The gallery shows the home, contents and reader interfaces from the real app.
Delivery summary
Statute is live on the App Store and Google Play. It demonstrates a complete mobile product spanning content discovery, navigation and reading.
